Hello guys,
Can some body tell me were to find VIN number on Chevrolet Blazer 4.3L V6 Vortec engine? I need on frame stamped number! I put LPG to my car and need to pass government inspection!

VIN (complete official Definition from GM):
ZitatThe Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is the seventeen digit legal identifier of the vehicle.
It is located on a plate wich is attached to the left top of the instrumentpanel and can be see through the windshield from outside of the vehicle.
Location can be: Frame behind the right oder left front wheel, frame right or left side under the front doors.
(If you find no VIN in the frame, you can stamp the number by your self in the frame.) -
Yes I know that VIN is in down left corner on the windshield. Also there is vin number on driver door sticker and in passinger locker sticker, but by the low they insist to find stamped number on chassis.
I think to stamp number by myself is not legal!
I write on official Chevrolet site about this problem and they ask me were I live! When tell them in Europe they reject me with explanation that they responsibilities is only USA! -
Original is no Vin stamped in the Frame.
Only the Tag behind the Windshield and may under the Hood.

Aber auch nicht Okinal. Da hat sie auch jemand nach dem Import eingeschlagen.

I think to stamp number by myself is not legal!
Yes is not legal, but the official way is very very complicated.
Stamp the VIN by self, but aware that a star is at beginning and the end of the VIN.
Make sure the VIN is exactly in line and at the same distance.
The comparsion with the title/papers shows the inspection that it is the right one.
No one asks if the VIN agrees with the title/papers.Just do not the mistake and show it already without a stamped VIN.
The right place for the VIN is, right frame behind the right front wheel.

die Vin steht direkt in Höhe vom Schild Blazer an der rechten Vordertür in den Rahmen eingeschlagen...
